    Host Philip Cheah Reviews: Prison and Paradise – A Javanese Koan

    STANDFIRST: Daniel Rudi Haryanto’s Prison and Paradise, about the 2002 Bali bombing tragedy, won Best Film at the Jogjakarta Documentary Film Festival last year and won the Directors Guild of Japan Prize at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival this year, had its international premiere at the Dubai Int’l Film Festival 2010 and has been traveling widely throughout Indonesia. Seven years in the making, the film has the distinction of having 14 hours of exclusive footage with the Bali bombers. Philip Cheah reports.
